Presidential Delegation of Accountability

  1. The President may delegate authority and responsibility for administration and management of the University in any manner which will ensure accountability. It is the Board's expectation that the President will make management decisions and will delegate authority and responsibility for the making of such decisions in a manner which will:

    1. Protect the public interest in the successful achievement of the University's mission


    2. Maximize use and conservation of university resources


    3. Protect the University's public image as an institution of integrity and value


    4. Assure compliance with applicable federal and state law


    5. Assure diversity among the employees and students

  2. In the event the President advises the Board of his/her incapacity, or the Board determines that the President is incapacitated, the Vice President and Provost shall exercise the functions of the President in the absence of the appointment of an interim president by the Board of Trustees
